Legoland California – The Ultimate Guide to Visiting

Welcome to the ultimate guide to visiting LEGOLAND California! As one of the most popular theme parks in Southern California, LEGOLAND is a must-visit for families with children of all ages. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit:

Plan Ahead

Before you visit LEGOLAND, it’s important to plan ahead. Check the park’s hours of operation and plan to arrive early to avoid the crowds. You can also save time and money by purchasing tickets online in advance. Get the Legoland App to view everything that will be going on during your visit!

Dress Accordingly

Make sure to dress comfortably for your day at LEGOLAND California. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that are appropriate for the weather. Sunscreen and hats are also recommended, especially during the summer months. Weather in Southern California can be tricky, even on hot summer days you might want to bring a jacket. Once the sun goes down it can get cold out!

Start with The Big Attractions

If you’re visiting LEGOLAND California for the first time, start with the park’s biggest attractions, such as Coastersaurus Roller Coaster, LEGO Ninja The Ride, Jungle Cruise or my favorite, The Dragon! These areas also have some of the park’s most popular rides and attractions, so it’s a good idea to visit them early in the day before the lines get too long.

Don’t Miss The Shows

In addition to rides and attractions, LEGOLAND California also offers a variety of shows and entertainment throughout the day. Be sure to check the park’s schedule and plan to catch at least a few of these shows during your visit. My family loves Lego Friends to the Rescue – This live-action show features the characters from Lego Friends as they go on a rescue mission to save their friend, the pop star Livi. The show includes singing, dancing, and audience participation. And you can’t miss The Lego Movie 4D: A New Adventure – This 4D movie features Emmet, Wyldstyle, and other characters from The Lego Movie as they go on a new adventure. The movie includes special effects like wind, water, and fog to create an immersive experience.

Bring Snacks and Drinks

Food and drinks can be expensive inside the park, so it’s a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks. LEGOLAND California allows guests to bring in food and drinks as long as they are not in glass containers.

Take Breaks

Legoland California can be a tiring experience, especially for young children. Be sure to take breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge. There are plenty of benches and shaded areas throughout the park where you can sit and relax. This is the perfect time to grab a yummy snack, like the delisous apple fries!

Visit the Lego Store

No visit to Legoland California is complete without a trip to the LEGO store. Here, you’ll find a huge selection of LEGO sets, as well as Legoland California souvenirs and merchandise.

Stay Hydrated

It’s important to stay hydrated throughout your visit, especially during the hot summer months. Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration.

Visit during the off-season

If possible, try to visit Legoland during the off-season to avoid the crowds. The park can get very busy during the summer and on weekends, so consider visiting during the fall or winter months. I also love how Legoland decorates for holidays such as Halloween and Christmas!

Have Fun Visiting Legoland California!

Finally, remember to have fun! Legoland California is a unique and exciting theme park that’s sure to be a hit with the whole family. Enjoy your day exploring the park and creating unforgettable memories.
