Motherhood can be such a magical experience. You suddenly have this wonderful mini-me there for all your adventures! You spend your days waiting for smiles. And then giggles. And then first steps. At the same time, it can be incredibly isolating. Old friendships tend to fall to the side while all the other moms in your life are too busy to make plans. If you are starting to feel the loneliness, you need a mom group with intentional meetings to break you out of the same old routine! As a San Diego family photographer, I have gotten the chance to connect with tons of parents who have found resources they love. Here are the mom groups in San Diego I always recommend!
High Vibe Mom Tribe is a group of Bay Area moms who meet all across San Diego County. Rather than one set group, they offer a number of options so you can find a local one that fits into your schedule. No matter your parenthood style, you’ll find a nonjudgmental group of moms who will be by your side through it all!
If you don’t feel like fully committing to a group, you might like San Diego Mama Meet Up. This is an informal group that announces their events on social media. You can follow their Instagram and turn on notifications so you can be the first to find their next meet-up location!
Are you the type of person who craves structure? Then you are going to love San Diego Mommy and Me! This group hosts regular series where you can come and connect with other moms while getting tips on how to survive these early years. The sessions tend to last 7 weeks, and you’ll be welcome to bring along your little one!

The Mama Village meets at Reunify Yoga to give you an amazing community of moms. You will be able to choose from a number of courses developed to give you the support you need. From birth story circles to pelvic floor recovery yoga, they have just the thing for you!

Imagine Therapy is a practice that looks at how they can create sessions to meet people’s needs. Their postpartum groups meet once a week for 7 weeks. You will be able to come with your baby and stick around for sessions all about navigating early parenthood. While the group currently meets at the San Diego Jewish Academy, they will occasionally switch locations.
San Diego New Moms Network is another fabulous group that regularly plans meet-ups with parents all across the Bay Area. Their private community has over 11,000 moms that you can connect with. Trust me, this spot will help you find your parenthood bestie!
If you could use some support throughout these years, I think you are going to adore these mom groups in San Diego. With flexible meet-ups, you can find the group that will be there for you!
